Excuses Begone!

Sundays, for me, are all about relaxing, catching up on reading or TV shows I've recorded during the week, and getting ready for the week ahead.

Yesterday I watched a PBS special based on Dr. Wayne Dyer's program called Excuses Begone! and it made me reflect on all those excuses we all have for not being everything we want to be, and do and have in our lives.

The program didn't really have any new material that I have not heard in other forms, from other people, and Dr Dyer does acknowledge that he is borrowing from other "self-help" luminaries such as Louise Hay (who was in the audience) and Byron Katie's The Work. In fact he is also promoting one of my favorites, Dr. Bruce Lipton's Biology of Belief.

The thing about this program that I felt made it stand out is that he took a poll of thousands of his followers and wanted to know what excuses they had for not living the life they desired. He took the 18 most used examples from those who responded and created affirmations to turn those excuses around. He advised the viewers to write those affirmations down and put them all around the house, and office and keep reminding themselves of just how powerful they are to create change.

So, with that in mind, I have copied all 18 of the affirmations, printed them out and distributed them around me to help me remember.

I hope you will do the same. We ARE co-creators of our world. Let's make it a fantastic one!
